Day 9: Homeward Bound

The morning was somewhat rushed, but we made it to the airport in plenty of time, thanks to a quickie breakfast of instant noodles and instant coffee, and the combined efforts of a taxi (gasp!) and the limousine bus.

Check-in was uneventful and so it was that we found ourselves with plenty of time to wander around the airport.

A380 - a great way to fly

second breakfast

We found a good way to while away our time - shopping, of course. Of all the Uniqlo outlets we visited, it was the one at Narita Airport that got most of our business! Plus, we found some books, lasting souvenirs of our time in Tokyo, to buy.

All too soon, it was time to board our plane, but our Tokyo experience wasn't quite over yet.

first, we had to finish our stash

then SQ served a meal much better than usual, evidently the product of a Japanese kitchen

even the dessert was a pleasant surprise

and we had good company all the way home :-)
